“Haute couture is culture” for Antongiulio Grande who returns to propose his high fashion after 15 years with Altaroma, inspired by the lascivious atmospheres of the early decades of the twentieth century and the suggestions of the twenties, a “femininity to be rediscovered”. A glamor that permeates the capsule of 18 garments that the talented Calabrian designer presents in a large hotel in the capital. Among boas, ostrich fans in vibrant colors, showy feather hairstyles, the clothes of the Calabrian couturier point to a sensual refinement, accentuated by a color palette that prefers fleshy colors, from brick to bronze, from must to plum, from blood red to black. The models wear theatrically lingerie dresses hidden under robe coats closed by cords and tassels, impalpable undergarments that assemble lace, georgette with an inconsistent weight and a nude effect. All dresses sway between pleats and silk fringes. To applaud the designer, Anna Falchi, Valeria Marini, Manuela Arcuri, Demetra Hampton. The trikini inspired by Josephine Baker, chief symbol of the collection, is composed of a skirt in natural feathers of capercaillie shaded in forest green shades and a mono-shoulder dress style hi-hat.
